School meals

Our kitchen provides a range of tasty, nutricious meals daily. A number of hot meal options are available in addition to a selection of sandwiches and Jacket Potato choices. A drink and a desert are provided with every school meal.

In support of our ‘Healthy Schools Award’ status, children are encouraged to select freely from the salad bar and fresh fruit platter each day in addition to their meal.

*Meals are to be paid each Monday, the money being put in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the child’s name, class and the amount. Payment may be made by cheque, made out to CCJS please, or by cash. Credits due to authorised absence will be carried over to the following week.
*Children may bring a sandwich meal by prior arrangement with the Headteacher. For administrative reasons, a change from school meals to sandwiches or vice-versa is restricted to half term breaks and more than one change is discouraged. Please put requests for a change in writing giving at least one week’s notice before the end of term or half term. Only those children bringing a sandwich meal may bring a drink. Drinks in cans or glass bottles, hot drinks/soups in flasks are not permitted for safety reasons. *Children are permitted to bring in a healthy snack for morning break.
